Happy... 16/07/07

It's been quite a while since I last blogged. Had such a bad weekend...

I was down with a bad flu. So bad that I didn't even enjoy my stayover at my friend's place. Basically, I slept through the whole night. Haha... Think must have been all the late-nights and lack of water...

Harry Potter was quite "Okay". I am not a great fan of Harry and I have not been following the movies faithfully. This time round the movie was perhaps the worst of all that I have watched. Maybe it's just me. But I think it lacks much action scenes like its previous shows. Haiz... IN summary, I didn't enjoy the show and partly is due to the fact that I was freaking sick...

Been chatting online with this guy. He's actually a Singaporean but went abroad for studies and doing degree on oboe performing arts or something. Heard about his story on how he landed himself on the scholarship and stuff like that. Do admire his courage because he said he actually flew all the way to do the auditions without his parents consent and managed to clinch the scholarship. Impresssive, isn't it? I admire his attitude: the never say "die" spirit and "you never know till you have tried".

Actually met up with him. Quite a wierd experience I thought it would be, but it turned out really well. It was quite funny at first when I met him at PLB post office. Haha... Nothing much to say. But once we got ourselves in my car, I think conversations just started off naturally and nicely. Perhaps I was once a "band" person that facilitated the process.

We headed to PP for dinner. Had out dinner at Banquet. Yeah, my friend's a Muslim. Haha...
We ordered Char Kway Tiao. It was ok to me but I think my friend enjoyed it alot. He was quite shocked to realise that I didn't eat the seafood that comes along with it.

We seem to chat quite a bit when we were at the dinner table cause I remember seeing him looking at his watch a couple of times. I thought that was a sign to show that he wants to leave until later, that I found out that he was actually expecting a regular call from his "someone special" back in Chicago. Feel so happy for him! Oh, did I mention, he was actually posting some durian food to this "someone special". That's sweet!!!

Hym... I thought we were heading for home but we ended up shopping at MPH before he received a call from his friend asking if he wanna join him for supper. Well, I wasn't sure what I was getting into but i agreed to go along with him. *faint* I think I was too "high" then.

Haha... Supper was at somewhere called Bedok something. It has lots of coffeeshops selling Muslim food. It reminded me of Jalan Kayu. Wasn't really hungry or anything so I settled for drinks instead. But my friends insisted on eating so he ordered Roti John. He offered for us to share but there was a moment of awarkness, one muslim and one chinese having to share the same utensils?? Haha... But that was soon resolved when he took his friend's spoon instead.

I didn't talk much throughout the whole conversation. Afterall, I just met them for the first time. Supper lasted about an hour because I remember arriving at the place about 10 and leaving at around 11.

I sent my friend back to his flat and I realised I was at his block a few months ago to post TBC's leaflets. Small world ya?! Indeed.

Oh, I think my friend is a really really gifted oboe player. Heard his recordings. Whao! Amazing!
Hym... Before he left, he offered to teach me free oboe lessons. Well, sounds too good to be true. There and again, if he is willing to teach, why should i reject?

I suddenly got this uegr to pick up my instrument again. haha... I think it is 3 min kind of thing. Still, I would like to give it a try and keep the flame as long as possible. But considering doing swimming, playing flute, oboe, and studies... I really wonder if I am digging my own grave..

And, I finally figured something out myself. Feel happy and satisfied.
My question has been answered.

Cheers!
