It was a wonderful night-out with the singles... Pretty impromptu as we only managed to finalise the place and timing at the last min. 

Had my virgin go with Ben n Jerry's ice-cream. It was great. A thousand thanx goes to Jerry for suggesting the night's list of activities. Oh! It seems like Ben n Jerry's @ Dempsey Hill has live band performances every Wednesday and Friday. SO folks, should you have no plans on these days, you can consider heading down for a night of sugar dosage and music throbbing in your bloodstream.

We couldn't quite decide where to go for our drink but we ended up at WIne Network. Had a go with some Red and it was great. Can't remember the exact name but all I can remember is that is a SHiraz. Ha... I love the after-taste in my mouth. KInd of sweet. Had a great chat with those present.

Like I've always said, company + food + wine = excellent time!

This weekend is pretty much packed with fun...

Fri: Meeting Jerry and folks for a single-nights-out at Dempsey's...
Sat: Meeting my Secondary Schoolmates for dinner and then the folks are Veron's place.

Which means I won't be able to do much work...

Argh...

Just got back not long ago from a dose of caffeine. 

It was enjoyable as always, although I wonder if it was mutually felt.

Appreciative towards my friend's gesture to meet, despite running high on much medications. Speedy recovery ya!

April Cheong... 23/01/09

I had a really wonderful time catching up with my secondary school best pal; April. I really believe in platonic friendship as I have one. Haha...

Honestly, I used to have a torch for her. I can still remember fondly how I almost made my confession to her back when we were in Secondary one. We were walking towards Bukit Gombak MRT one day and we started to talk about our relationships or something. I was about to express my affection for her when she said she had feelings for one of our seniors. That was when I decided to hold back my words. And I'm glad I did just that. Haha... It was only years later when we were in upper Secondary when I told her that eventful incident that day. We always have a good laugh over this. Haha...

Reminiscing over our Secondary school times; the numerous memorable performance trips to Malaysia and Australia etc... was definitely a great way to bond us together again. We were laughing so hard when we recalled the how our heads were resting on each others' during one for those long coach rides that triggered H to be angry. Haha... Those were the days man!  Great to know that April is pretty much the same old April that I know; very determined, opinionated, vocal and independent- the making of a successful career woman. =)

Haha... She's probably the only lady that I feel at ease when it comes to hugging. Haha... At least for now I hope. It was also really hilarious to see the expressions of both Kris and April when I declared that I have never kissed a girl before and how they tried to stage a plot to "steal my virgin kiss" away. 

In summary, an excellent cathing-up session with April made a perfect post-birthday celebration. Ha! Guess it is time to catch up with my beloved Secondary folks. 

Oh! I must show this pict to my Mum for she has been asking about April since the day she left for Aus. Cheers!

Wonderful but tired... 22/01/09

Had a tiring day running around. As you would have known, met Jia ying for lunch earlier on. Thereafter, went to fetch Lorraine and made our way over to Orchard to purchase my wallet. 

After much thought, I decided to settle for the Montblonc wallet. The price is steep for sure but I hope the money is well-spent. I'm seriously very broke.

Went on to fetch Lorraine's Mum for she was carrying much stuff back. Glad to be of service. Ha...

My dinner was excellent. Was telling my friend how exhausted I was, and I was glad the offer came to drive us to the dining place. FYI, I have never trusted anyone with my car (especially after the traumatic experience from lending ... with my car) but I guess my friend is a much more experienced driver.

The plan was to dine at Holland V but the sudden change got us to Sixth Ave instead. Ha... The place is actually very near to my ex's place back in JC.; just a street away from where she stays. 

Well, the dining place is called Tin Hill Bistro WineBar.

The food was okay, the service was great and most of all, the ambiance was just perfect. I enjoyed the company more than anything else. It was the quiet birthday dinner that I had hoped for. Was interesting to have a toast too! All in all, think I spent about $65.

Went on to Dempsey for some dessert. Got lost when I turned into the wrong lane but it reckoned it was a blessing in disguise. 

Had our dose of sugar @ PS Cafe. It's a rather casual yet comfortable place. Highly recommend it to all the couples. Haha... I think it is a great place for small groups too. Shared some choc pie or something. The price was justifiable given the standard of the food served. 

Made our move around 10:30pm and it was already 11:00pm before I reached my friend's place.

I had a wonderful time tonight and appreciative to my friend and, of cause my other folks too.

Just had a really simple lunch with Jiaying. Man... 

It was the best simple lunch ever; we had it at MacDOnald's.

Seems like she is going back to Aus again. Well, she has always been the bold one, never failing to impress everyone around her with her actions. I guess she just did it again. Whatever the case is, I know she will be just fine, just like 6 years ago.

Speaking of which, I have known her for over 10 years! To be exact, I think it is around 12 years. It just struck me how time flies...

Lunch with friends have always been a luxury. Catching up and crapping over the dumb things we had done back in our Secondary times never fail to break us into our hysterical laughter. 

Great company + simple lunch = Excellent time.

I wonder what my dinner is going to be like. Cheers!

Realising... 19/01/09

Just had a rather heated discussion with a friend via SMS...

I realised how fragile friendships can be.

I realised how distorted intended messages can be when they are sent as SMS.

I realised how important "trust" is in all relationships.

I realised how things can be spun out of hand if due attention is not spent on them while we can.

I realised how terrible it can be if things are kept within for a long time and let out in a split moment.

I realised how important it is to be true to one's heart.

I realised how difficult it can be to break the truth to the loved ones, and most of all to yourself.

I realised, I should have realised these long ago...

Had a simple dinner with the folks. Nothing special but it was a great session. Think my mind wondered somewhere in the middle of the dinner. Haha...

Million thanx to Wj n FH for the DKNY fragrance. Was just chatting with another friend about fragrances a few days ago and now I have an additional one to add on to my collection. =)

Reckon I am not a good drinker. Ha... Was feeling alittle tipsy after a bottle of Hoegaarden.

Oh! Was quite surprised when James called. Thanx for the well wishes! I'm looking forward to his wedding!

Need to start the engine tomorrow!

Whole new Perspective... 17/01/09

I've learnt...
For almost everything to happen, it takes...
Sometimes it takes more than the usual;it is really a combination of many factors and human emotions etc.
I realised knowing when to let go a just as important too. It soothes the heart and also the mind. MOst of all, it saves alot of time too.
I reckon at the end of the day, a good laugh is all that is needed. That's what I am going to do from now on. =)

Just smile and pretend nothing is wrong.
