Day 02I am freaking tired!!! But, I feel very satisfied! Remember I once mentioned I bought only 5 items for myself in 3 years? Guess what, I bought that many things for myself in just one day! Yeah! I think this is an achievement, great achievement!! I bought many shirts and stuff for myself!! Ha-ha…
Today was an enjoyable day. We woke up about 730am before washing up and leaving for our breakfast and off for our Taipei exploration! Before that, I checked online and saw that my module bidding is carried out according as planned before leaving with an ease of mind.
Our first stop, 龙山寺. Being a Taoist myself, it is somewhere I would like to visit. = p And thankfully, Lorriane is very accommodating. I prayed and went on to explore the surrounding area of the temple. We had something called meat ball or something. Guess I wasn’t used to the taste that I found myself not eating much of the food. Well, there’s always the good old Lorraine to rely on. Hee…We went to buy some amulets and key chains for our friends and I bought some for my folks too.
After that, we went on the 西门丁! I think it is a “must” visit place in Taipei. The place is really packed with youngsters. Too bad it rained but it has never dampened our spirits at all. We shopped for a while before finding ourselves buying customized key chains from a particular shop. We spent close to NT$2000 in all in just that shop. (Guess that handsome and friendly owner contributed much of the willingness to spend on his shop).
We walked and shopped and shopped and walked. Before we know it, we have walked till our legs were freaking tired. Ha-ha… We decided to get ourselves a well-deserved drink and also some rest for our exhausted legs. I bought so many things for myself that I felt so happy and overjoyed. I miss the feeling of shopping, and seriously, I’m deprived.
After carrying so many things, we were not in the mood to walk and decided to head back to hotel to put our stuff and head for 华西夜市. It didn’t too long and we were found shopping again. We tried what was recommended by Veron, 大肠包小肠. It was delicious! Bagus!! So nice that I finished most of it that Lorriane has nothing left to eat. Ha-ha… Hym… A bit disappointed by the night market though. There wasn’t as much to offer as I expected. Well, guess 士林夜市 has more then.
Our train ride back to hotel was fun and interesting. The people were very well organized and disciplined! They were very orderly, queuing for their turns and all. Hym… how come we don’t get to see that in Singapore?!

Had MacDonald’s for supper! In summary, I feel happy. I have finished buying most of the presents for the folks around me. In my mind, I really love the pants and singlet from Samuel and Kevin at 西门丁! Maybe I will try to get it if I have any money left.
I have no idea what to get for Lorriane as a special present. I have gotten a card. Will see what I can get tmr ba.
Night!!!!!!!! And I have spent so much!! Haha…. = )
