Natalie du Toit (Photo credit: Mike Hewitt/Getty Images)I think the first up in my list would definitely have to be the extraordinary Olympian, Natalie du Toit.
Despite being handicapped, she competed in the 10km swimming event and came in 16th out of 24 competitors. In case you are wondering, 10km is equivalent to 200 laps round our swimming pool.
Her perseverance and determination are definitely worthy for everyone to emulate. She has clearly demonstrated that disablility does not always equal to being disabled. One of her coaches mentioned this to her...
The tragedy of life lies in not having goals to reach for.
It is not a disgrace not to reach for the stars,
But it is a disgrace not to have stars to reach for."

I guess my second best moment would have to be our very own paddlers winning our Nation's silver medal in the women's table-tennis team event.
It has clearly been a long wait of 48 years!
It was also very heart-warming to see Li Jia Wei's reaction when Team SIngapore has managed to secure a medal. Her emotions pretty much said how pathriotic she feels towards Singapore ya? Well, at least that's what i reckon.
So once again, congrats to Singapore!
NUMBER 3:

I was deciding between Michael Phelps and Matthew Mitcham. Evidently, I have chosen the latter.
Apparently the 20 yr old Olympian Champion used to fight over depression back in his younger days. To be able to overcome that and spring back into action is pretty admirable.
Perhaps, even so when he decided to come out of the closet, and declare his sexuality, months prior to the Olympics. Choosing to be opened to the society of who you are is one thing, but to do it at the pinnacle of your success is another issue altogether. I salute to his bravery and courage.
Well, glad to say, the society seems to be embracing it pretty well and he has clearly made a statement for those pink suitors. Cheers!
