courtesy of Sky.comOops... Was shocked to know that the little gal in red on the left was not the real singer for the Beijing 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony. In fact, the gal on the left, Yang Peiyi, was the rightful singer with the angelic voice.
Yang was apparently ousted days before the ceremony because the officials felt she was not "cute" enough. They wanted a perfect face to go along with the perfect voice.
Hym... What can I say? Seems like one's looks does go a long way in paving one's successes and chances... It's a fact that we can never run away from. So folks, stop calling me a vainpot when I'm just trying to keep up with the societal expectations. Haha...
