Another Day of 14 hours... 28/05/08

Er... Can't believe I worked till 9pm again today. Got so carried away chatting with my direct superior that I almost missed my bus home.

Anyway, I found out that my direct "upline" stays @ Blk 331. That's where Ms Jurong stays! I wasn't sure where it was when he said till we went home together. Haha... Enjoyed talking to him on our way back home in Bus 198. He's actually a Malaysian and working in SIngapore. Too bad he is going to further his studies soon. Guess I'll be left hanging somewhere again. Haha...

I trully understand the meaning of going to work when the sky is still dark and returning home when the moon is high up. Seriously, how can anyone endure that? There's only one word for it, "lifeless"...

Admire my "upline" passion towards his work. Haha... Great mentor! He asked if I wanna go onboard and set sail for a while since the vessel that we are working on is in the way of Senshu Mashu or something along this line(some japanese LNG vessel). Looking forward to it but definitely not anyore OT... *sob*

Hym... after working on ships for sometime, I have this sudden urge to go on a short cruise. If only my schedule allows. Will plan and see how it all goes...

Took some snaps at work today. I'm not supposed to so sshhhhhhh....
What's your morning view like? This is what I am greeted everyday.

Oh! Apparently the famous Black Knights, the team of SAF pilots that do acrobatic and precision flying, practice over the skies overlooking the Keppel yards. Caught them doing their routines today. They did some synchronised flying and also a heart shape. It was all for free!

It's already 11pm and I am still awake. Haiz...

Going to die tomorrow...

14 hours... 27/05/08

I think I worked for more than 12 hours and most of all, stood for more than ... I just got a new boss. Was transfered to another guy who takes the same bus with me everyday.

Oh... I did OT till 9pm. A bit crazy. I think I am the most hardworkig intern... My legs are so so so sore from all the standing and walking up and down the vessel...

ANyway, I just wanna say I respect my section leader very much. Apparently, he kind of waited for me at the gate just to make sure I leave the place before him. He also instructed one of the workers to teach me how to do line check. Appreciative!

I'm really really tired...

Thanx dude!... 26/05/08

Oh... I "won" tickets to the ballon ride! Haha... So funny!!! Thanx dude!
Did OT again. Haha... Becoming like a regular ya? Hym... The manager commented that I should go follow someone else in order to learn more. Not sure if my big boss will object to that coz everyone seemed so busy. By the way, there's a new permanent stuff. He's in my section too! Guess I will have some more interaction with him.

Quek asked if I wanna participate in Keppel run or something. Haha... He said he will go check it out and let me know. Er... I can't run dude! But I don't mind giving it a try. I hope I can survive the run if I really get to join.
My heart missed a beat again at work. Haiz... WHat's happening!?

WHy? ... 25/05/08

Why do gals have stomach cramps and ... I have gastric pain?

Seriously, I have no idea for the latter. I know the gastric pains that I had when I was younger was due to frequent skipping of meals but now?! Er... I've been eating like a king...

I have no idea why I'm having this acute pain in my stomach. Was half way through my work when the i was struck by it. Come to think of it, I had a hearty lunch so I certainly had no reason for the sudden gastric pain... *faint* as I am writing this entry, I am having a mild one even though I have just finished my dinner like 1.5hours ago?! ANyway, the pain was so great that I really really felt like dying... Haiz...

I have no explanation...

I couldn't take my eyes off someone today. Oh my... It was really...

We were as one babe
For a moment in time
And it seemed everlasting
That you would always be mine
Now you want to be free
So I'm letting you fly
Cause I know in my heart babe
Our love will never die No!
You'll always be a part of me
I'm a part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
I ain't gonna cry no
And I won't beg you to stay
If you're determined to leave girl
I will not stand in your way
But inevitably you'll be back again
Cause ya know in your heart babe
Our love will never end no
You'll always be a part of me
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
I know that you'll be back girl
When your days and your nights get a little bit colder oooohhh
I know that, you'll be right back, babe
Ooooh! baby believe me it's only a matter of time
You'll always be apart of me
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my my baby....
You'll always be apart of me (you will always be)
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on (we will linger on....)
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
Always be my baby

Movie Day... 25/05/08

Woke up at about 10 today. Realised that Daddy didn't buy my lunch as he didn't know what time I would be up. Decided to ring my folks and see if they were free.

Had a great lunch with the folks at 三菜两汤. Apparently Pirate Chan hasn't been there before. I guess we can dine there more often if my wallet allows...

Went over to Veron's place and played MJ. I wasn't quite into MJ nowadays. Glad to have some English movies to make my MJ session more enjoyable. Watched the following shows:

Haha... Realised that I have actually missed out on some really nice shows and I think it is so much enjoyable to watch the shows with folks than alone.

Haiz... Still remember that I mentioned I wanna hit the gym after my exams. Man... I have yet to visit it, even once. *Remorseful* I wan bigger arms!!! Argh...

Anyway, might have some gathering at my place or somewhere this coming Saturday. Will see how it goes.

Super Dead... Have swimming lesson tmr and my legs are sore from yesterday's run. In summary, I'm dead!

Current weight: 58.4kg *sob*

Accomplished... 24/05/08

Feel accomplished... I've achieved what I planned out to do for this weekend.

One more thing left to be done, clean up my room and format my computer...

MacRitchie Park... 24/05/08

Felt like a spring wound up a million times and finally get the opportunity to release all the energy built up within...

Left work at about 1130am today. Had a rather brief meeting with the HR manager before roaming around with the guys from the mechanical section. Well, we went up to the ice breaker vessel. It was my first time and er... their umpteen times. This explains alot...

Been looking forward to knocking off coz I had everything planned out in my mind; MacRitchie Reservior Park!

It was quite a spontaneous idea of mine. Wanted some quiet time to myelf so I guess it's either the beach or park. Here's some random photos that I took:

Haha... This turtle is quite clever! Kind of followed me as I walked along the bridge. Sorri dude, no food from me...

Was trying to figure out the way to the HSBC treetop walk and I made a couple of wrong turns in the end. Decided to give it a miss as I realised it would be closing at 5 when my clock showed 4:11pm.

Tried to take some arty farty photos but these are all that I could capture. Well, clearly my skills aren't as good as Lornie's...

With no idea where to go, I just followed the trial which runs along the perimeter of the lake. It was really cooling trodding along the trail under the shade. Saw many people jogging then and I regretted not bringing my gear along...

The silence and serenity of the park were really what I needed. It was simply, perfect for my wounded soul. Haha... Anyway, I kind of substituted it with my Creative MP3 player blasting the only one song that I wanted to hear soon after. (Well, my iPod failed me once again...)

The park was pretty deserted. Perhaps it was still early then. ANyway, I snapped a couple of interesting shots: Really liked this photo. Probably coz the colours are quite nicely matched! Haha...
There are fishes in the background although the photo doesn't quite justify it. Should consider getting Lornie's cam instead...

Along the trial, these paws are be found. Each of them represents a different quote. Pretty meaningful and I snapped 2 of them.

Folks, pls download this photo as my display pict in ur cells! Haha... I prefer this shot to all those in your cellphones!
By the way, if you are still wondering, I went there alone. So the photos are just myself...

After walking for about 30 to 45 mins, I covered about 2.5km (according to the signboards along the way). Somehow I found myself in the middle of a long long rocky path...

I didn't wanna turn back just yet as I wanted to know where this path would lead me to. SO, I continued along the path till I finally reached some country club. The path continues further but I reckoned I have covered almost 5km and decided to give the remaining path a miss. I'm glad I did just that...

I started to back track along the way I came. Er... Somehow, I couldn't stand myself walking back the path and I decided to jog back. Ya! I'm crazy coz I wasn't properly dressed in my running attire, except for the pair of Adidas track shoes.

Haha... After a brief thought, I took off my shirt and ran. Anyway, it was great. At least I felt much better jogging than strolling back. I jogged for about 2km before stopping and it was invigorating. The fresh air pretty much made up for the fumes and dust that my poor lungs have purified at work for the past few days.

Took some nutsy photos! Haha... Here you go. I'm not a pervert k!

I really enjoyed my impromptu jog. Been a while since I last jogged and I needed it... Realised my last serious jog was with Ben at Bishan Park. Think I ran more today than that. Haha... Probably becoz I didn't have to talk while gasping for air for my de-oxygenated brain... If there's someone out there who have a stamina for running can ring me up. I can sure do with some jogging once a week!

Going back took much lesser time. I took some other photos along the way too! Haha... Since I brought my cam along, don't waste it right? How often do I frequent MacRitchie Park!?

Saw this Caucasian couple sitting by the bay. They brought their own chairs and wine too! I think this is what I deem as quality time with your family. Isn't it sweet? Absolutely!

Was going to my car when I saw this Mum and her daughter. Just love the picture alot.

Anyway, I had a great day today. I feel happier now. Ya! I guess I'm someone who values freedom alot. Folks, do go to the Park if you have the chance. It's cheap, healthy activity! Haha... Nt sure how many of u all can endure the weather and the long walk. Looking forward to my next...

Send me a msg if u wan the photos. I've uploaded on picasa! Cheers!

It's over, so over... 23/05/08

Well, only 2 words for today's interview: It's over... I was basically grilled. I'm very certain it's over. Man... Honestly, I felt like leaving half way through it. It was really that bad, trust me...
Well, enough of my grumbles. I'll work on it... Haiz...

ANyway, million thanx to Veron and Lornie for the small gift. I appreciate it very much, just that I'm too distracted by the interview to express my appreciation.

Great ice-cream session with Ms Lornie. Got some thrashing from her for ranting and raving over my interview. Well, I just couldn't help it but to rattle away. Haha... Haiz... "It's not end of the world" as I was told, but honestly, it's complicated, and I know deep down inside, it's just...

By the way, I wish to put what we have discussed a history. Let's not bring it up again and raise our own blood pressures and straining on what our friendship. Like I said, I really have much other priorities to worry about. If need be, talk about it behind my back and hide it away from me. In this case, ignorance is indeed a bliss... I'll leave it as that. All I needed was just a down-to-earth talk and not what followed... =P

Haha... I am indeed a westerner. I was lost in the East after dropping Lornie off at her friend's place. I ended up at Changi Airport! Oops... Well, feel real guilty for wasting the expensive petrol that Dad has just topped up. Haiz...

Dinner was nothing special. Met with Tian Tian and company. All my folks seem to travelling! Feel great for them! Well, when is my chance. I guess it's gonna take a while...

I guess everyone really missed Uncle Peter. Can't remember whose idea was it but we ended up at Central, the shop which Uncle is working in. He has certainly gained much weight and seemed really happy and glad to be working at his present place. I think the feeling of being appreciated by others indeed does wonders. (No photo from me as I reckoned the rest of the folks will be posting it)

Think I looked kind of dazed throughout the dinner with Uncle. Must have been the interview. Haha...
Anyway, didn't send any of the folks back today. Instead, decided to go fetch my dad. Haha... I spent about 15 mins scounting for Long John Silver's since Dad was craving for it. That's pretty much the most that I can do now.

Had a good man to man talk with my Dad. He asked how did the interview go. My heart sank, just like Titanic did to the bottom of the icy Atlantic Ocean... I knew I didn't do a great job. All that I have planned for, pretty much went down the drain. Felt damn remorseful. Haiz... What can I do??? Throughout the journey back, we talked about my internship at Keppel, what are the plans that I have in mind now...

I think this is what we call, "life". I guess it's gonna take a while...

I think I need some air to breathe. I don't bloody know what's happening nowadays... It's crazy! I'm tempted to...

DAvid Cook ROcks... 22/05/08

Man!!! David Cook rocks! I love his voice and his rock star attitude!! I don't really buy many albums but I think I'm going to get his! Looking forward to it!
Did OT for the second time round. It was really nothing much actually. Just walked around and tried to learn more things. Nice to have Shukor showing me around. Quek was shocked that I stayed back again. Haha... Well, we ended up crapping. Thereafter, TarTar came back, saw us and guess what, he came and joined in the fun too!
TarTar asked if I have any plans to work in a shipyard and started talking about the various pros and cons. We had a brief chat and TarTar said I didn't have to stay back till this late all the time. (My OT wasn't a choice. Haha... More like a "order") According to Quek, Tartar seldom talk to him. I guess it was because Quek and I happened to be around at the same time and TarTar seemed to be rather free then.
Quek is leaving soon. Guess I'll be the only intern in electrical section from then on. Sianz...
Anyway, got an interview tomorrow. Don't think I stand any chance. Give it a try and see how it goes.
Folks, try not to call me after 10pm on weekdays ya!? I believe you folks can understand the rationale behind it.
Cheers!

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Did my first OT since I started work for about 2 weeks. Well, it wasn't too bad an experience since I spent the extra 2 hours inside an air-con room trying to get some document done.

Haha... Sad to say, nothing much was accomplished as I ended up talk talking with the guy that I have been learning from. Nice to share a pointer or two with him. I really can feel his passion towards his job. I guess that's what one needs to have to excel in life.

Think the regulars were also shocked to learn that I stayed back. They were quite taken aback when they saw me walking into the office at 6pm. Quek was doing some documentation while CHong Boon was bumming at his desk. Immediately, I planted myself on the vacant seat beside them and started our gossip session. Haha...

It was a great experience. I've learnt much about the way things are being run in Keppel. Eye-opener for sure!

Oh! DOn't let me hear those lame jokes again. I'm going to screw you for that. Believe me...

*Aching all over*... 20/05/08

Had a rather long day at work today. Apparently it is ISO audit or something. Everyone was so hyped up about getting the paper work done nicely.

This reminded me of my days when I was in ULC in army where I was also involved in the paper work prior to the annual check. Well, all I can say is that it is definitely no fun at all.

Guess I'm getting old. My whole body is aching from the cycling and badminton-ing from the past 2 days. Sharks...

Here's a few picts that I wanna share...

I really love this picture... How it fuses the idea of Japan and SIngapore together. I guess you would have realised that it is about our very own SIA. The pict is part of an advertisement that says that A380 will be flying non-stop to Tokyo.
How I wish I have the opportunity to fly on one. Haha...
*hungry*

=P... 19/05/08

Had a great badminton session at YCK Sports Hall and the japanese lunch that followed was well deserved.

Didn't know whose idea was it but we ended up playig MJ at Veron's place. Haha... ANyway, I was self-entertaining as usual. Still, it was a good game.

In summary, it had been a great day! Glad to know that my long weekend rocked! It's going to be a while.

Take care folks!

Oh! I finally watched Survivor: Micronesia. Haha... Great season!

This weekend I shall go watch the show that I just spotted today! Hopefully!

ECP, finally... 18/05/08

Yes, I've finally gone to ECP. Every semester after my exams, I would tell myself that I would pay a visit to the beach. I am really glad I finally get to do so this time round. =)

The weather was simply perfect for beach-ing. Seriously, I miss the sun, sand, sea... Haha... Been ages since I last gone to East Coast Park for a day of cycling, blading or simpy a stroll down the beach.

The day started pretty early for me. Woke up at 9am. Wanted to sleep alittle longer but I reckon my biological clock has accustomed itself to waking up at 530am everyday and denied me of every attempt to slip back into my dreamyland.

Planned to grab MacDonald's breakfast but I missed the last order timing. Still, I was happy to have my brunch from Mac.

Went to fetch the folks before heading to ECP. Haha... Everyone seemed so perky and cheerful. Ya, that's pretty much the kind of feeling we should have right? After all, we don't get much opportunity to gather in future.

Use to frequent ECP with my secondary folks like once every month to cycle even though it meant spending few hours on travelling. It was definitely a fortune to be able to relive those days.

Though the crowd is different, the memories are the same.

To Veron: Thanx for the sms ya? It's great to feel appreciated. Haha... Please do not stand on ceremony. That was really nothing much. In fact, I totally enjoyed it. "That's what friends are for!"
Cheers!

Haha... Can't believe I can still skate! Seriously, I seldom skate. The last time I did skating was when I was in Pri 3 or 4 on a pair of roller blades borrowed from one of my classmates.

Guess the numerous falls I had back then did pay off as I managed to stay balanced most of the time I was on the wheels this time round.
Here's more photos:

What's that Lorraine doing the back?!

In summary, I had a wonderday day. I had a day off from all the worldy worries... I didn't have to think about pleasing anyone but myself. Folks, thanx for the company!

Oh ya! Glad to catch up with Shane too! Too bad Phua couldn't join us. Well, there's always another time ya?!

Tired but satisfied...

"Cheese" Kek... 18/05/08

I couldn't sleep once my clock strikes 9am. So here I am with my first post for the day. Saw Lorraine's blog and found this interesting!

What Keith Means
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

Interesting...

randOM thought... 17/05/08

Was taking the train to Bugis when some thoughts came to my mind. After spending one week at work and seeing the numerous workers of different nationalities, I pretty much conclude that it is essential for income disparity to exist in the World.
So much has been discussed on the shortcomings of income disparity in developed and emerging countries. We tend to jump on the bandwagon and insist that the income disparity be equalised in order to make the society that we live in a better one. However, I think this income disparity does in fact be necessary and needed.

I realise that there are just some jobs in developed countries that the native citizens shun away from. Being in the shipyard, I see that majority of the "dirty" work has been done by the foreign workers. Some might argue that this exploitation is unethical but one thing for sure, the foreign workers do benefit much from it; in terms of money.

If today, there exsits no emerging nations, where are we going to find the needed hands to do these "dirty" jobs? A balance is needed to make sure we do not marginalise the workers.

Had a conversation with one of the workers today and the topic was on family. I learnt that this particular worker calls back to his family at least once a week. He is one only foreign worker that I was able to hold a decent conversation with. In fact, his command of English is pretty impressive. He said he misses his family very much and hope to go back in another years time.

Well, before we scrutinise all foreign workers as ... Spare a little thought for them. Ethnocentrism is definitely not cool. So much has been said, I must say I will not buy any electronic goods or gadgets from INdians after my personal experience @ SIm LIm today. Yes, and I mean it.

A long day... 17/05/08

Had quite a short day at work today. Seems like Saturday is a meeting day as everyone seemed to to preoccupied with meetings. Well, I spent most of my time onboard 326, seeing how the workers lay the wires. Of cause, it was noisy and dirty with welding on every corners of the decks...

Went to SIm Lim to get my hard disk. Well, I wanted a portable one which does not need an external power supply to operate but I ended up with ... Haiz... As long it is working fine, I guess I can make do with it. IN summary, got to ask someone who's IT savvy to come along in future.

Think Lorriane is undergoing her second round of puberty as she was perpetually hungry. Usually it is the other way round, guess she is well on her way to replacing me as the glutton among the folks. Cheers! Haha... Anyway, we ended up at some store that sells ice cream from Taiwan. Here's a pict. Well, I think it is quite affordable especially if you are sharing. As for the taste, I'll give a 7/10.

Kind of planned out wat to do for Mich. Guess it didn't turn out quite the surprise we intended, but we tried. Haha... As for the movie: "Accuracy of Death", I shall not comment much except it is quite an amusing show. Though I wasn't too keen on catching the show, I was happy to be able to catch a few Japanese words liek and there like friends, really, Why?! Haha...

Not many people turned up for it. As usual, outside commitments. Hym... I can understand for some of them but definitely not all.

I think I am getting used to sleeping early. My eyelids feel so heavy when it comes to 10 in the night. *yawn yawn*

Kind of lookign forward to tmr's beach excursion. I have been saying how I would like to visit the beach after my exams which has never materialised. Hope I can do that this time round.

SLEEPpppppppppppppppppppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

"made" of honor... 16/05/08

Finally get to go onboard some half finished decks to view the electrical works. It was definittely an eye-opener...

Impromptu choice to watch "Maid of Honor" was a choice well made. It isn't anything as compared to Iron man but it is still a pleasure to watch. Infact, I enjoyed the movie just as much as Iron man. Haha...

The plot was quite predictable but I guess it was precisely why I enjoyed it. Been missing out on such files for sometime; those revolving finding your truth love and ending with a happpy ending. The last that I can remember was "Keeping your faith". Haha... Yes, been ages...

*yawn* sleepy...

4th day... 15/05/08

To just lie on the bed and chill out is definitely a luxury. For one moment i can bum around for a solid 2 hours. i'm enjoying every moment of it... My eyelids are feeling super heavy. I think it's almost time to knock out... Time now is 845pm. Ya! It's about time too! Did safety course today so i guess i'll be having more work tomorrow and the days to come.

3rd day... New found perspective...14/05/08

A pair of sunglasses is very useful, especially when you are at the Asian Aerospace. You should get what I mean...

But if you are viewing other people through tinted lenses, it may not necessary be a good thing. In fact, that's the essence of prejudice. Sad to say, I WAS an advocate of that.

Today was the 3rd day of my internship. It had been a fruitful day as compared to the day before. I attended a safety brief today which is called "Take 5". It is supposed to be conducted everyday before the start of work. For one moment, I felt like I was in army attending the mundane falling in during every morning. Anyway, I do respect Keppel's devotion towards a safe working environment.

Tour around the workshop was quite brief, still I must thank Norman. He's like the NTU guy too, very friendly and approachable.

Since I have yet to attend the safety course, I was not allowed to go onboard. Thus, I was assigned to station at the workshop and understudy what the workers are doing. Seriously, I wasn't sure what that meant but I was glad I was tasked to do that.

The 2 Indian workers were very friendly. One of them was really very very helpful. He knew that I was new and was willing to teach me what he knows. Infact, he knows alot of stuff and he is very competent in what he does. I'm seriously impressed. Haha... I never thought I would actually have the chance to interact with a foreign worker on such a personal level; we were discussing on where we hang out during weekends and even marriages... Ya, marriages...

When I asked what they do during weekends, I was shocked. Apparently, they do not have one. I was told that the weekend pay is doubled so many of them choose to stay behind and work. When I probed further like don't they feel tired? Kakar smiled and replied, "We're here to work, not holiday."

HYm... I admire their courage to leave their families abroad to work in a foreign country. I believe it takes more that just courage alone. For that, I salute to them. I guess I have gained a different perspective towards foreign workers.

2nd Day... 13/05/08

It is my second day as a production engineer at ...
I did nothing today as my mentor is in India and the section leader was just too busy although he promised to take me on a tour round the yard.
So I really had to do what I have not been practicing much: pretending to be busy... Seriously, it is no easy feat to.
Glad to know another intern from NTU who has served 5 out of his 6 months here at Singmarine. His surname is also "Guo"! (Quek) He's really quite a nice guy and he offered me his seat and the his tin of biscuits. Thanx dude!
He said I'll probably do nothing for the first few days as I have yet to go throug SICC or something which is some safety course before I get to go onboard. But he added, after the safety course, things will not be the same anymore. Er... Understood...
By the way, I'm having my safety course this coming Thursday. So, hornymoon... I mean Honeymoon period will be over before I know it.
Haha... He was also trying to psycho me not to return to the company as he said the company is not very good. I'm not sure that he meant but I believe his words have much credibility since he has gone through much more than I do. I shall wait and see...
ANyway, I figured out one thing. There is a price to pay for everything. It might seem like a good pay with enticing bonuses, the workload is just as demanding as well. Not to mention the occasional yellings from the sention leaders. It's really a trade-off to consider.
I seriously think this little footprint I am going to leave behind in this organisation might do me good in future. I seriously hope so...
And, I'm not supposed to snap any pictures in the yard as it is a key installation... So, too bad ya!?

Lion KEK... 13/05/08

"You are Green Lion, who reminds of a warm sunshine in the winter.
Your personality is kind, modest and courteous.
Although sensitiveness stands out in conversation, and in the way you talk, your crisp movements give good impression to people.

When time hits 12... 13/05/08

There's only one thing that i look forward to and i guess it's what most people in the working society do... Lunch Time... this is the canteen that i ate yesterday and for the many days to come. The food is not fantastic but i guess one shouldn't expect too much considering the environment that i am working in. Haha...
But one thing for sure, this is the battle field of the "colours" when the hour hand hit s12. Before you know it, you would be overwhelmed by a sea of starving workers... I will be joining them later too. cheers! ... 6:45am

Been a while... 11/05/08

Exams are finally over... =P Hym... The only thing left is the release of results.

Don't really have much time to enjoy since I am starting my intern really soon. Anyway, shopping with the folks @ Orchard was great. It's been a while since we last did just that.

Think I accomplished quite a couple of stuff. Did my hair, bought a purse for Mum, did my brows(Yes! I did my brow!), and did some shopping. Please don't ask me why I did the brows in the first place and I'm definitely no FAG ya?! Or am I?! Haha...

I must have been exhausted from the lack of sleep the previous day as I was complaining about all the walking and shopping(although I was one of the advocates for it). It definitely reminded me of the TW trip and I think I know how Lorraine felt back then. =P Speaking of which, *wink wink*...

The MJ session that followed was great as we have successfully tortured ourselves one more time, trying to keep awake as we toiled through the night. Nowadays, MJ session is equivalent to catching up session, and in this case, catchin up with only myself as I was the one who did MOST of the talking. Like I always say, "I'm so gonna quit MJ." Although I know no one will take it seriously.

Oh! Wanted to thank Ernest. He's actually a nice chap. Thanx for going through all the trouble, just to find the song for me. I think it is hard to believe that someone whom you are not closely acquainted to, will bother to go the extra mile for your request. I appreciate it very much.

Watched Iron Man : The Movie today. I think it is a fabulous film with great cinematography. I believe it is by far the best movie I have watched this far for the year of 2008. Glad to know that there will be a sequel.

Hym... Sometimes, certain things need to be done in order to get the message across. I'm glad I stood by my decision.
Lorraine commented I took too long to write this entry. And I know the reason y. Somethings are just aren't the same anymore.
Hold on tight for more SwiNgs to come. Cheers!

"they don't belong to people forever"...04/05/08

"they don't belong to people for ever"...

"then why bother?"...

"because it's worth it"...

Indeed, nothing belongs to people forever... So cherish what we have, while we can.

No wonder I felt something was missing or incomplete...
I forgot to mention the nice walk down the beach yesterday. Though it wasn't quite the way I pictured it to be in my mind, it was still a walk to remember. It was a great feeling to feel the sand in between my toes again. I don't really have many opportunities to stroll along the beach with anyone, and I can still remember the last person I walked along with. Welcome to the list...

It's going to take sometime to let people know who I am actually...

most expensive meal... 03/05/08

Had a day at National Library. Was too cold for me to bear as I forgot to bring a sweater along. Anyway, Lorraine was there with me. We were studying and we started snapping photos. I must say her skills are pretty good. Haha... I already knew this since the TW trip...

Here's a few picts from her...

In front of us was this mother and her son. I must say this. Her son is really very obedient. He was so disciplined to sit still for close to hours. I'm seriously impressed. And most of all, the boy is so cute!

Oh! I got a Popular card too! Since I am granted a yr of free membership, so why not ya?

Dinner was scary! We decided to go ECP to dine at some Korean restaurant which Lorraine's friend recommended. Well, I'm not sure what to expect. Guess 'll let the photos do the talking...

It was indeed a great meal. I honestly felt like an emperor! Of cause, when you dine like a emperor, your bill is bound to amount to a substantial amount. Haha... Well, Lorraine gladly flashed her CITI bank card. What can I say... No worries... I know what to do k... Give me some time...

I'm really happy to get the song that I have been looking for. Although it's not in the mp3 form, I'm still glad to have it. Elated!

Lastly, I'm so gonna die...
